Cap fell off in wing hole - Help #81252

Guys:

Wing cap fell off in wing hole on Hobie 17. Any suggestions on how to get it out of there other than turning the boat upside down. That would a PITA!!!!

It happened to me one time. I used my shop vac and attached a small diameter nozzle to the standard nozzle with duct tape. The vacuum generated was strong enough to pick it up.

Use a coathanger. Strighten it out, then bend a small right angle hook in the end. Use it to snag one of the rivets or the rivet holes in the end cap.
