My name is Scott, I live in Clinton, CT. I've been toying with the idea of picking up a used catamaran to tinker with. I've spent a little time online looking at used cats and see there are a vast amount of boats out there. I'm not really sure I know what I should be looking for or if a cat is even right for me so I thought I'd try to find a local cat owner or two. With that said, I see "Rhodysail" lives Branford, CT, but he does not accept PM's. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> I'd really like to meet a couple of local guys to learn a little more about these cats and if possible, see these boats in action. If you could point me towards any CT folks or towards any local gatherings, that would be very helpful!


BTW, I see there is (was?) a Hobie fleet out of Madison, CT but my emails to the commodore (Todd Riccardi) have gone unanswered so I'm beginning to think the fleet is now history. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Welcome to catsailor!
Sorry if I missed your emails, I don't check the email that is linked to that site anymore (too much spam). There is still a fleet in Madison but I am no longer involved with it, as I do not live in Madison anymore. I have not updated the website but there are still fleet activities. There are about 30 cats on the beach at the surf club with racing wend and fri. nites run by fleet 136 commodore Joe Manganello. I'd reccomend going down there around 5 to 5:30 and taking a look, ask around for Joe.
