Hi,

On the new Nacra Infusion there is a quick release for mastrotation. In that way you do not need to release the mastrotation at the cleats on the hulls, when you are on the tramp getting ready to pull the kite.

Does anyone has experience with the system and what do you think ?

Regards,
Gill

Sorry, no idea, you might be better in asking in the general forum (the F18 forum is faily dead).

Idea is sound but the implementation can be better.

Also more simple implementations are available.

Do you remember my rotation system Gill ?

I now have a pad eye on the end of my rotation arm and a cleat on the arm. Here I can fine tune the right upwind trim. With the maincleat I can engage or disengage the rotation to pre-determined settings.

Simpler, cheaper and just as effective.

Several other systems can be thought up. Phill has one for when the rotation arm is underneath the boom.

There are some pictures I found a while ago at www.a-class.org.nz, click on photos, then tech. From memory theres some good photos of all sorts of setups for cats.

If you see me at Tiengemeente Gill, then ask me this question again. I'll run you through the options.
