First Briefing is at 10.30am Saturday 28th October 2006
There will be racing AM & PM Saturday 28/10/2006 as well as AM & PM Sunday 29/10/2006.

I'll Try and make my way across sun arvo for a look. Maybee I'll Have a go next year. BEN 654

Went down to kcc on sat with the mossie and met Ben 654 with his mossie( good to finally meet up) and met up with tornado alive.
Ben and myself had a few squirts up and down botany bay.
For my third time out thought I went alright except for 4 capsizes But still have the problem of stalling while tacking grrrrr. Bens boat looks like a brand new boat compared to mine and he knows how to sail it as well, Good luck with any regattas you enter you should do well.
When I came in and checked my hulls I found about a cup full in each hull which Im starting to worry about. But I guess the less I capsize hopefully the less water that ends up in the hulls. One last thing which is the best way to check for leaks?

Sounds like a fun day out. Great to see Sydney Mozzies out on Botany Bay again.

Pretty bloody good to only have a cup full of water in each hull after 4 capsizes. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I have a cup full in each hull and I don't capsize. It's probably getting in at the inspection hatches even though they are done up tight they still tend to leak. They might not also be sealed to the decks.

The other possibilities is a small leak around the centreboard cases with all that pressure applied by the water against baords and transferred back into the cases.

Another possibility is right on the bows (although it's more usual on composite boats). A very small hairline crack can weep under the applied pressure. Try putting tape along the bow edge as a quick trial to see if it makes any difference.

Ben and Myself were talking to a few mossie sailors from yester year and they still hold the mossie right up there for the favorite cat.
I noticed on the notice board done at kcc another mossie for sale, I hope it goes quick so we can get another mossie out there.
