I guess I'm saying here that on the info that I have, Nils wouldn't even consider for one sec designing the new Hobie Tiger for Hobie. Experiences gained during previous projects sort of left a really bad taste in one particular designers mouth. Hobie refers to Hobie France in this respect.

That is all.

Don't ask for proof or names as I won't give you those. I will need these sources in the future and I'm not going to offend them by exposing them.

Actually you did already see that day pass before.

It was when the first nacra infusions were shipped into Europe.

Same principle was applied then as well. Different sources but I kept them confidential just the same.

My assertion,

Anything over 12 knotts ... yes

the Inter is faster in breeze where it can fly a hull and the Tornado can't. Then they are even up till the point where the Inter starts to depower to stay upright... the Tornado just flattens the rig and goes while using the extra beam to stay upright.

Macca's Taipain super 5.7 should be faster with the long boards and less weight and now wider beam then both.

All this considering equal teams on the boat.

Macca's super Taipan uses standard boards, besides the wider beam and new rig, only the rudders have been modified. He also says it's way faster than the T in any condition. And regarding Macca's experience with the Tornado (he has done several Tornado worlds with respectable results), I believe him..

I think a Tornado sailed by a class competitive team is faster than an Inter 20 in any condition. A Tornado with this calibre crew and the very latest rigging and tuning is a very, very refined and potent yacht.

Hi Bob

The last two cat fights are good data. The Tornado and Inter 20's were sailed by comprable teams in those races. Matching the guys on the US Sailng Team against the Weekend warriers is probably not fair to compare the boats. Certainly given a choise... you take the Tornado!

BTW... do you have any pictures of the A cat mast positive rotation system you have written about?

Thanks
Mark
