The new Nacra Infusion comes with a 10:1 main sheet system. I helped one of our club members rig his new boat and it took quite a few attempts at roving the blocks before we found a system that worked with low friction and did not twist the top block (causing the sheet to slide off the sheeves).

The system uses the Harken 57mm 5 pulley block on top. The black thing below the cleat is a big pair of rollers that aid in cleating/uncleating when the cleat is not pointing directly at you. Similar to the Harken extreme angle fairlead, but works even better. Not sure where you can buy them - they came with the boat.

Hope this saves someone a bit of time when they are roving a 10:1 with this set of blocks.

Chris.

Chris-

couldja post either a real closeup pic of that fairlead, or look real careful at it and see whether it is a single unit or whether it is fabricated? - well, in any case I'd want a real good closeup pic, please. It looks a good thing for the Fboat.

This sig would be something witty, but the censors are against that.

The fairlead is just some of the rudder rollers with longer bolts. The rollers don't roll in the fairlead. The blocks look good but do you think that the eye strap and plate can suport the load of the double blocks. The ones I have seen have the double blocks attached to the top of the lower triple.

That would explain the unused becket on the double block.

see for closeup pix of fairlead rollers. I expect these are just bits of Delrin rod drilled to accept the longer bolts attaching it to the cleat. Add the 'cap' crossover end (fairlead) thingy which is commercially available, and you've got the kewl long-roller fairlead.

See below for pic of 12:1...
