ok let me see if I understand this. I need to get the weight in front of the crossbar while sailing down wind. I need to get weight forward while sailing upwind. So the only time I do not need to be in frront of crossbar is when its "honkin" Then I am out on the wire. So whats the tramp for??????

Umm... how would you get around on the boat without one?

When the wind starts to come up when going downwind, you'll start to do the wild thing - crew to leeward, playing weight forward and aft to keep the bow from stuffing, skipper on tramp towards the rear crossbeam in the middle - windward hull just out. Most fun.

Tacking or jibing would be easy. Just balance along the crossbars and change sides, like a tightrope.

You can't be serious, when taking beach tightbodies for a sail, where would you have sex?

I take tramps on all of my boats. They are much more fun and tend to take off their clothes.
