Does anybody know anything about PDQ Yachts? What kind of reputation do they have? Should I take my .38 special down to the bank and take out a loan to buy one?

I doubt they will allow you much sailing time in the Federal Penitentiary. Take down payment instead.

i was a builder at pdq for ten years. they build a light, strong, well thought out boat with a solid reputation behind it. the boat is on

the higher tech end of the big boat market. the boys out there spend a lot of time and effort getting every last bit of extra 'wet'. out

of the boat. the reasoning behind this is that the boat must be light to perform. then the owners can come along and put on what

ever they went with out hurting the performance too much. water makers, gen. sets, big ice boxes, air conditioners, all kinds of

heavy krap that will slow down a boat.

the 36' was stretched from the original 34' to give her a better payload carrying ability.

the 32' is a beautiful boat is you look at her from the back end, but the front is like a bus.

the 42' is huge. no, hugh is not big enough... gifreekinnormus. she looks like you would need a crew to get back on a dock. lots of

freeboard. you might be able to dock her, single handed, at a fixed dock in the bay of fundy at low tide.

the power boat, well, they sold 8 or 9 of them with out having built one.

take a look at the tomcat 9.7 she will not cost the farm and the first born.

What about the TomCat 6.2? Seems like a good little day-cruiser for a great price. Any comments?

right now, i am the shop forman for tomcat. i sail a modified 6.2 so you will not hear anything bad about it from me.

the whole thing about tomcat is that we are a small company, run by sailors. we build boats the way we would want our personal boats to be. it is not a boat for every one, but it is a good little boat with a respectable speed/comfort ratio.
