Some Ideas.

Family:
"Family Fun F16."

Risky:
"Our Competitors call us F'n F16." (as written)
"I like to F on a F16." (Follows the fun, fad etc theme)
"Barely Legal (F)16."

Nice:
"Sweet 16, F16."
"Favorite Feline - F16."

All a bit cheesy but some ideas non the less. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Hi Steve,

don't have to worry about those higher performance classes you mentioned in OZ, as far as I know they don't exist here.

So maybe we will make it the Motto for OZ only, see attachment for photo of the back of my trailer. Come to think of it I might put it on the back of my boat as well, so you can get a better look at it. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Regards Gary. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

P.S. Hope your work up to the Worlds is going well, Good Luck. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Hey guys,

Currently there is NO other class that is both lighter AND faster then F16 !

The M20 is faster but not lighter
The A-cat is lighter but not faster

etc.

Maybe the T-shirt should say :

Sail F16 !

Both lighter AND faster

And then on the front :"whats up with the midgets ?" With a picture of gnomes rigging and cleaning your F16.

That will surely get a few sailors asking about the F16 class.

Weight is also relative to size....... There are F boats that are a little heavier (due to extra LOA) but much quicker than an F16.

The F16 is as far as I know, the lightest and fastest in its class however you can also say that nothing is lighter and faster than the AO F14...... Same goes with the 18 and 20 footers

Lets see...... If the F16 is quicker than the A Class which rates at 71, and is as quick as an F18 rating at 70...... Then why don't we lobby the YA to change the YVC to 70??????

Now back to the class catch phrase.....

F16..... Light Speed sailing.

Bit of a play on words as in Light (weight) speed and Light Speed = f@#ckin quick.

I really like "Light Speed Sailing" as it is straight forward, fairly short, and can be understood multiple ways, eg lightweight speed sailing OR (speaking in hyperbole) sailing at the speed of light.

Using superlatives (ie light...est; fast...est, etc) is dangerous in the long run and just annoys the other classes unnecessarily.

I guess the 'sailing on the edge' has already been done ...
But I'm not sure, so I'm posting it anyway.

Does anyone have the F16-logo in a higher resolution than on the site ?
I'm thinking of making a license plate sticker (where you normally find a sticker of your garage).

Regards,
Gilo

Gee the fishing on this forum is realy bad lately. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Don't you hate it when you can't even catch "A LIVE" fish, it just wouldn't rise to the bait. Maybe the bait was off. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Maybe the F18's and N20 should take your advise?
