Yesterday was the 25th annual Day-in-the-Sun Regatta. This is an event held in Hempstead Harbor on the Northern Shores of Long Island, NY, where handicapped children from the Henry Viscardi School get a chance to sail. What boat could be more perfect for this than a catamaran? Of course, it's the people that make the difference.

I've only done this 6 times or so, but there are some (Milton Dinhofer for one) who have done this from the beginning. There are too many other names to mention, but all the volunteers, lifeguards, caregivers and sailors are true heroes.

You should see the smiles these kids have on their faces when they do this.
