I see more and more racers with Tac Tic compasses. However, they're not cheap!

I have come accross a plastimo 29407 http://www.plastimo.hu/Compass/29407.htm that was designed for Tornados.

Has anyone had any experience with them (visability, ease of use, etc)?

Thanks & Happy New Year!

If you are going to use it from the trapeze, I would say no as the numbers probably will be too small to read.
The Plastimo is probably a knock off from the Silva catamaran compass. We had one on our Tornado earlier, but stopped using it when the skipper moved out on the trapeze. It was hard enough to read when hiking and next to impossible from the trapeze. Now we dont miss the compass except for on the startline (we sail on fjords with lots of landmarks around).
