NC State sailed against UNC Chapel Hill today in a scrimage regatta at our local lake (on FJ's), so I thought I'd get out and blast around a little with the new boat. My girlfriend got this great pic from the beach:

Trey:

Nice shot. We had to start off in foul weather gear today, Then had know wind for start. Took 40 minutes to get started. We missed the cut off for time on Rum race, BUT had fun. Did you ever get to try TackTick compass?

I was about 50-80 feet away (??). I haven't used the tacktick yet.

Those are Fahrenheit measurement for anyone that was wondering. That equates to 6 degrees Celsius water temperature.

Barb:

I am still learning monohull racing. BUT it is kind of like this. We start based on our PHRF ratings and try to catch the other boats. We start the Beneteau First 36.7 at 12:10:52 pm and must finish the race by 3 pm. It is 8.6 mile triangle course with reverse rounding each race. More here: http://www.gbca.org/
I race on this boat:

Nobody's perfect. At least you're the right color blue.

Darnit,

You find a really good spinnaker color combo and then someone comes along and copies it!<img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
