I would like to buy one - or maybe two - beginning catamaran videos. Which of the following is more helpful, if I basically know how to sail, but am just starting with catamarans?



1. Rick White's "Total Boat Handling"

2. Catamaran Sailing: A Step by Step Guide



Do these cover the same ground? Should I consider buying both? Is there another video I should prefer to these?

Hi Jonathon,



Well of course I'm totally biased, as Rick White and I worked our butts off creating Total Boat Handling, but let me give you a synapsis.



The answer is, you may want both. If you really want to learn how to sail fast, the correct way, then buy Total Boat Handling. It's a great video, and hopefully others who have purchased it will chime in.



However, don't buy Total Boat Handling expecting that you will get a video that shows you how to rig your boat. That may be where Catamaran Sailing, a Step by Step Guide comes in.



Rick and I were convinced that we could make a better video about sailing technique, and we believe we have done it.
