We have just sold our f18 and picked up this timber taipan but it has a few problems can the brains trust please help with ideas on fixing these problems. thanks in advance.
1 gudgen plate has pushed through transom who ever built only used 1 peice of 4mm ply as transom with no stregthening.
2 has been run into and caused crack.
3 has old centre casings witch are aprox 2 inches bigger(longer) than they need to be would like to block them to make shorter.

The gudgeon plate repair is easy just go thru the inspection port. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> That crack looks more difficult where exactly is it located anyway?

The transom according to the taipan plans, has a piece of hardwood 65mm wide x 6mm thick runnung top to bottom, when I put mine in, I glued and put a layer of glass over the whole lot.

The crack in the hull looks like a bit more work, as said previously, where abouts is it?

Centreboards according to oz class rules;

Aft edge of centreboard 3615mm - 3635mm (from bow datum point) when fitted to the hull.

Thanks for the ideas will glue and glass peice of ceder onto transom fill and redrill. As for crack in the side a friend who is a boat builder is going to fix thanks for all your help.
