Posts: 5,590 Naples, FL | Hey, driverman, you can help hoist too, you know! That's the bonus of having the snuffer line led to the back beam.... <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
One or two yanks at the appropriate time make all the difference, even if you're hiked out.

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | When I'm working the front of the boat, I hate it when the skipper starts grabbing at my strings. When hoisting, if someone is pulling the halyard, it's usually disrupting my rhythm and making the next grab of the line unsure. I do like when the skipper holds the sheet up a little when the hoist is being finished so I can get to it quickly - don't sheet it in though, it will make those last couple of inches of hoist a real bear.
