I guess it is a pretty high end cat... you have to steer ALL THE TIME with your sails, as there is clearly a lack of rudders!. Tybee 500 here I come!!

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | Portugese...one of our international sales representatives sails them and placed in their nationals. It's a wacky little boat. They steer by raking the rig fore and aft and using their body placement. Tacking and gybing are very interesting and you have to plan WAY ahead.

Posts: 576 | The "Patin" (There is a swordfish on the sail)is Spanish from the Catalan region ,at the 1992 olympics in Barcelona there were apparently 2000 of these in view on the beaches in the area.did you know the King Carlos of Spain was an olympic competitor in sailing. The boat works on the same premise as a windsurfer.Tacking and Jibing in the same manner by using the mast and your own weight. They started building them in early 1900's.You can get one for around 3500 $ according to the article Dec.1998 ........ Posts: 217 Palm Harbor, FL, USA | What about converting all of the back issues to PDF format and selling them in a digital form, either on a CD-ROM or a DVD. I am sure there are many articles and information there that are timeless and many that would bring back a lot of memories to a lot of people. I think that would make a good item to sell alongside of the sailing videos.
