You don't see me because for the past 5 years I've been a bit of a sailing hermit. I wish I could say it's been the 5-yr-old and the 2-yr-old kids that's kept me from most of my sailing, but it's more than likely been the crappy job I used to have at a Charlotte-based bank that did it. Long hours, long stress, low pay. (Just changed that in January.)

So the few times I have been out on the lake has all been pleasure sailing. It's been YEARS since I've raced or joined in any regattas. And I HATE THAT! I haven't even been able to do Cat-Fest at LNYC. I would love to at least do that this year. Or at the very minimum, crew for somebody. Only problem with that is that no one ever wants a 225-lbs fat-butt crewman! <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I've been jonesin' for several years now and it's gotten really bad. It may take some baby steps for me to get back to it and start out on my own pond first. But I'll get back there one day sure enough (traveling to events). Thanks for the invite! You don't happen to have an all-inclusive Carolinas cat regatta calendar or list of events, do you?
