Thanks Rick. I asked the seller about the "wrinkle," as did another person. He seemed to be doing the old "trust me - it'll be fine." Kind of hard to do that from 600 miles away. I guess I'll just keep looking - adding the cost of the rudder assembly, the sail and a trailer does bring the minimum cost closer to the high $2,000s. By the way, how much of an issue is old vs. new rudder assembly?

Besides, I guess there is no rush right now since most of the north Texas lakes have been closed for a while due to flooding. The local Hobie fleet (http://hobiefleet23.com/)had to find an alternate location because Hobie Point is under water.
