I agree with Robi. The context of the message is whats offensive not the single word. Interacting with children, disabled/handicapped or not is usually a eye opening experience. You are reminded of how simple life could/should be as they are not cluttered with the many hassles of adulthood.

You should step back a bit think a little, get involved with something SPECIAL and see what these kids are like. Retarded maybe but full of LOVE you can't get anywhere else.
