Michael,
I have sailed and raced tornados for 8 years. The boats are amazing sailing machines, but expensive to maintain and brutes to handle. Righting is just one issue for a lightweight and young crew. Like I said earlier the resale value for plywood tornados are low, and nobody knows what will happen with this class now that no longer will be an olympic class after august this year.
If you want two up sailing/racing, homebuilding, suited for a lightweight crew etc. it sounds like you want an F16 design. Taipan4.9 (contact Greg Goodall), Mosquito (visit their forum here on catsailor), Blade (contact Phill Brander) and the homebuild Ncik did might be possible leads for you?
