Scots and N20's on a cross.. cool.
The future is integrating with the Yacht club world. Helping the YC to manage our requirments is key to success for everyone.
Course design is one key... previous threads discussed Waves to N20's....
West River just had great luck with a new course of theirs for Flying Scots (spin boats), Albacores (sloops), Lasers (main only) and A cats.
The A cats had a standard long weather leg and offset (large and visible). C mark was set below the finish line which was to starboard of the RC boat and you finished to weather.
The monohulls sailed to a closer A mark (smaller) and then used the Pin end of the Start line as their leeward mark and their finish line was down wind through the original start line.
Everyone sailed two WL lap races and nobody seemed to have a cross with the A cats. The RC got the course size just right so the breaks between the rolling starts was just about right.
Anyone else have a winning mix and match course design story!
