If you can not find "Salsa" line by New England ... you may wish to try "Conception" by Yale. Both are Dynama75 but Salsa also has spun filament polyester ... the Conception has polypropelene. Both are approximently the same pricing but the Conception is availible in 3/16", the Salsa only down to 1/4". Both run large and are very soft and easy on the hands.

I recently upgraded my nieces lines on her Laser ... Yale Conception (1/4") for the mainsheet and Maffioli Swiftcord (3/16") for her Vang, Downhaul, and OutHaul (she needed 3 different colors for the control lines). Her fellow Jr Sailors are amazed at the fact that her mainsheet does not drag in the water when running downwind and the vang, downhaul and outhaul will run freely and are adjustable .... so they're asking their parents to replace their lines w/ the same lines as on Megan's Laser. A couple of visiting coachs heard about the lines on Megans boat and asked questions also, especially the coach that towed the Jrs in and actually felt and handled the mainsheet as a tow line.

I've had the Conception on my TheMightyHobie18 since 07'as my jibsheet and mainsheet. I am very pleased w/ it and usually sail w/o gloves ... now I need to up-grade the lines on my P19MX.

But a reminder ... these types of line are UV sensitive so I do not leave them exposed in the sunlight if the TheMightyHobie18 is not being sailed daily, I remove the mainsheet stack and jibsheet and store them in my sailbox.
