Reading the initial post I was under the impression that the regatta was strictly an F16 regatta now.

Did you stop taking your meds? The opening post says very distictly that it is run in conjuction with the GYC Spring regatta, which is open to all cats.
Move on - Let's start talking about combining all the starts, at least we want Ding on ours.
