I joined HCA last night. Now im trying to decide to put the old style rudders on my new boat. Id have to switch the whole rudder housings. But I like the fact we can use Tiller extensions now, so I wonder how much better the old rudder advantage would be.??? I wonder if Pat Green would sail with the eZ lock rudders ??
Would I use the H 18 rudder upgrade?? That's what I found online searching for the older style
I think you should be fine with the EZ-Lock rudders to start with, now that you can use a tiller extension.
If you want to convert, H17, 18 and 20 castings are all the same as the early Waves. You will still need to change the tiller arms.
I wouldn't worry about it now.
