In the case of building my carbon beams, i will way overbuild them, to be on the safe side.
The actuall wallthickness of the current beams is 2.75mm fulllaminate. I will go for a wallthickness 3.5mm fullaminate and will be using only undirectional carbon rovings. Under the mast step i will apply undirectional carbon patches at a angle of 45° to enforce this area.

This way the new beams 'should be' around 1/3 stronger!?
