But it will be interesting to see how the other cat sailors fall out.

I think the records Hydropter and Vestas sail rocket are chasing are over very short courses. On the other hand some of the big ocean racing tris are hitting 30+ for hours at a time, iirc.

So which is the greater accomplishment? Short bursts of very high speed or long duration at less extreme speeds.

Since this is Cat Sailor I'm guessing most of the readership is going to come down on the side of a record for 100s of miles or 1,000.

But I'll toss the guy on his Tiki 21 crossing the Atlantic both ways, single handed in a single season into the mix of profound achievements.
