I think you are on to something big here, with the watertribe style events in particular. That is where the sport is headed and I think for a long lasting Worrell 1000 that is where the event should focus. That may even get back to the original spirit of the race, fastest trip from the Florida Keys to Virginia Beach. Unfortunately I suspect the race liability insurance/stopover requirements etc. may drive the existing stop each night format, but maybe not, and maybe with say 5 check points, no forced overnight stops etc. there would be less organizational headaches.

Either way, an F18 class and an unlimited class would be pretty cool.
