Excellent Bob, thanks for tackling this , its a sometimes thankless job ,writing rules ,-but think as potential F 14 CLASS sailors read this they will be happy and smiling.

The ability to inexpensively put a boat together to suit their desired requirements makes this a very attractive class for many.. It leaves open the ability of the individual to be creative and add interesting ideas and innovation on the inexpensive fun 14s by resurecting numerous existing platforms purchased very inexpensively ,--or building some fold up hulls at home ,as well as simply purchasing a great new 14 .

The boat length and size will limit practical sail area and mast height.
Seperate spin -non spin -or boat weight categories may be defined as sub class caregories included within in future years as numbers increase ,--the idea is to have fun and to include all in this 14 size.

Be sure to add back in the 2 crew aspect for smaller youth sailors ---2 75 Lb -12 year olds for example . thanks
