well, it happened again. three weeks ago i replaced my main haylard block with a new harken block (just to get the holes to line up. i hate drilling into carbon.) it is allready starting to fail. i can feel it comming apart, not running as free as it did just weeks ago. the heaviest wind i have been in since i put it on has been about 12 knots. i have a sky hook and a well lubed sail track. i am not exceeding the swl on this. what gives?
the last block i took out was missing half of the shieve. the block is set up centered and plumb with the grove.
why does my harken stuff hate me?
