Hi Aaron

Great that you have support in Miami ,-The importance of a really good knowledgable ground crew is essential just to finish the 1000 miles and can not be emphasized enough.
Without a great ground crew, their support -repairs,-parts ,travel ,etc the race is nearly impossible as it sometimes becomes a race of attrition if there is more severe conditions for days in a row battling the Atlantic Ocean up the Eastern seaboard .

The racing and nav itself are fairly simple---
As they say -keep the continent on your left and go like hell. {when its on your right its never a good sign } though sometimes occuring, and night racing adds an element many catsailors are not accustomed to.

It will be great to see a KIWI team in the event ,-sounds like N Z will be well represented.

hope to see you there in May
Carl
