Hi

Many posters will sometimes ,-ALONG with reply comment and information added on the subject ,such as links provided etc ,---will sometimes add an off subject addition ,generally under,- not surprisingly -{{off subject}] in the post placed after the reply on various subjects of interest or sometimes humorous current events that they wish to share. We see current examples of this under numerous threads as per what do some do in winter months etc etc .
If ,in the future there is a reply ,-then within the text an added portion under -{{off subject}}-readers might expect this part of the post to actually be {{off subject}}
In these instances people with little tolerance for anything {off subject}}should stop reading and proceed to the next thread .

Steve ,-to answer your question directly ,-Steve Martin is a comedian that many enjoy ,with a very offbeat sence of humor ,-please forgive me mine , but I laughed in reading the op-ed and simply wished to share it with other catsailors . You may not know who Steve Martin is or be familiar with his movies and comic works, and can understand your potential confusion, though would highly recommend that any attempting the 1000 mile race have a very good sence of humor.

Eric ,maybe it is time you stop worrying about my posts and enter the 05 Atlantic 1000 on your Arc 21 ??
good luck -happy sailing ,
