Bob Hodges, the actual USACA President, is by far a better sailor than yourself and a widely respected guy in the US multihull community.

I don't care wether mr. Hodges is the darn USACA president, the US president or the president of the Pukipsee elderly bridge club.

The truth is above us all, no matter how well you can sheet your mainsail.

In addition I think the US sailing PN rating numbers have a few errors in it. Or do you think that the new A-cats are about as fast as the Hobie 20's (miracle) as well because the US sailing PN numbers say so ?

And to finish you off :

..., the Javelin 2, ..., is the fastest 18 footer on the planet.

-1- The fastest 18 footer in the world is Longshot with 43.55 kts at an official world speed record on 500 mtr course.
-2- Second on the list is the Australian 18 foot skiff (sorry mate !)
-3- Third in the list is the nacra 5.5 sloop. Because no boat goes faster than a old overlapping jib sloop rig on a broad reach. Both the 18HT and F18's are upwind and downwind racers, NOT a reachers. Ohh and rating numbers are bad top speed estimaters

What is left 4th place and beyond !

I think you get the idea.
