Dear interested sailors,
After years of having no secondhand boat market in the USA we suddenly see several boats being put on offer. Sailors are upgrading the newer F16's and some are upgrading to larger cruising boats. However, the reasons are that important. Far more important is the fact that we can now offer a choice of second hand F16 boats to US sailors. A boat is available for each budget size.
The boats given here are all listed on the classified adds page of
www.catsailor.com; otherwise I can't and won't name them in this post.
Lets look at the listing, going from new/expensive to older/less expensive :

Hollis Caffee's boat, see picture. This Taipan is quite young, it was build in 2003, so is only 3 years old at the maximum. It comes with trailer, trailer box, beach wheels and full F16 spinnaker setup for only US$ 8000,-. I can honestly say that this is the best deal of the whole listing. If you want to get into F16 sailing but not spend 13.000 US$ for a new Blade then this boat should be seriously considered.

This boat is in California and it is Mark Talla's. Carbon mast and CARBON T-foil rudders ! I refer to other recent posts. The T-foils work and the carbon mast needs not further write-up. See picture. Note also the carbon daggerboards and the very exclusive moon-silver colour of the hulls.

This is Kirby Haws boat, see picture. A good deal if you ask me, alot of boat for an expected final price that is very attractive.

It is also rumoured that Matt MacDonald will put the demo Blade F16 (2005) up for sale. This is his own boat and the one used in all the 2005 Florida races with Matt/Gina ending up as second in the Harken distance race series. Not much more info is available at this time, but I'm sure that it will be soon.
