My situation is as follows.

My crew decided to not do this event. So for the moment I'm solo and therefor expect to pay the whole shabang of transport. This puts me very tight in the budget department. I'm not going to commit before I got a firm quote on the final costs of shipping.

Another option is to hook up with somebody else on his or her boat, but honestly I want that skipper to be of reasonable sailing quality. I'm not looking forward too much to doing 15-20 knots winds in a 30 boat racing fleet with an inexperienced skipper. Sorry.

I will also welcome hooking up with a spitfire crew if any of those need a crew.

I have an option on a room at the yachtclub that is for two persons, since my crew cancelled I have a vacancy there.

But the window of decision is rapidly closing on me. Because of budget requirements and planning requirements on the upcoming academic year I need to decide relatively soon.

Also I don't want to come out and find that only a handful of others have come too.

The Australians appear to be very serious about shipping a container over; I know some personally who are very seriously considering it. I feel we should at least get one European container over to match these guys.

Hans, I'm sorry but I can't commit at this time, however I may when I know the final quote's and they fall inside my budget.
