I think one of the problems is the apparant lack of information on the event.

Apart from the initial invitation I don't think the organisers have posted any further details. The club website is pretty vague, the notice of race is just a poster and I think without some lobbying and promotion from the organisers Inter Continental participation will just fade away through lack of enthusiasm.

It is a pretty big ask to get boats and crews shipped half way across the World and to commit to the kind of money we are talking about.
