I just heard that to ship a boat to the Aussie F18 world championships costs 1000 Euro's.

THAT my dear friends is too expensive for me as I'm looking also at a 800-1000 Euro plane ticket and probably some 500 lodging and food.

My regular crew just said :"No thank you" and it is too late now to train another crew to the required level. My season ends in 3 months time. Probably sooner if the weather turns foul quickly in september.

So I'm now looking at going solo or not at all.

Has anyone contacted the Singapore guys and informed them of our concerns ?
