I've been sub-ing in for crew on a 12' skiff a couple of times. It's been enough to get my fix. They're very physical boats and I'm not really big enough to handle it. Got plenty of bruises for my troubles.

Did I mention that we obliterated a jelly in a race prior to the boat breaking. We ploughed through a huge wave downwind and came out the other side with jelly-fish tentacles all over us and the tramp! My legs got stung a bit but I pissed myself laughing because my crew got stung everywhere! He even got stung up his shorts!!! He was trying to kick all the bits off the tramp even though he was wearing washing up gloves. hahahaha I can't stop laughing just thinking about it!!! I'm way too sadistic, I think I'm going to hell!
