I did have to explain racing without a motor to them on several occasions.
I had to explain to them that theres no point in buying insurance unless I was going to race. The guy I talked to didn't "think" that it covered racing, even when I told him that the entire point of owning a performance multihull was to race it.
15 minutes after I hung up with him, he called me back and said "well I'll be damned it does cover racing!"
