It's amazing what you find just laying around in some people's back yard. It's had a bit of dirt/ mould on the hulls (see bow shot) I'm hoping to get it sanded and a light layer of filler on it, then sanded off and painted i'll keep you all posted richard
I would kill (bad phrase these days I guess) for a nice project boat like that. I will need something to do next year freezing my butt off in Michigan.

Finally out of my current "obligation" with the worst run medical organization in the world in July. Back to the real world. Wife works part time in Michigan now and I start full time there in August. Rochester Hills, suburb of Detroit. Should have plenty of time to travel for the most part. I am keeping the house in Navarre and the HT, which I am only half owner of, will be down here too. Now the question is- would a Blade do well in the chop of Lake St Clair or even Lake Michigan? Timbo- BTW... we are putting risers on the rear beam of the HT.. ought to improve performance/speed downwind in moderate/significant chop. I will need to post pics.

There are some sailing clubs on Lake St. Clair as I recall, I was there about 25 years ago, maybe they have cats by now?
Have you seen any pictures of Pete Johnstone's HT? He did the whole "Pimp My Ride" treatment, including raising both beams I think. See if you can find "The Bleading Edge" on Google and look at the pictures of his boat.

the photos i posted of the taipan that i got was also from a back yard its 11 years old and it is brand new and has never seen sand paper or water the guy just lost interest. The brother and sister of this boat both have won national mk1 championships here in AUS. All I had to do was a little bogging and fair up hulls for paint. Painting will be done in a few weeks will keep everyone informed thanks Danny
Are you talking about 003 and 004, Noel Grellet on AUS 003, Venom, has recently won the Taipan Vic States AGAIN!!!
003 and 004, sailed together for years at the Stawell Yacht Club, which as the trend goes, hasn't got much water. But they used to always be the top 2 boats, both at state and national level.
004 is still being looked after, if we get some water somewhere around here, we'll try and get him motivated again.

Richard, I bit of dirt and this is the corrective treatment. You must have very tough kids. Regards, Phill
I know that the voices in my head aint real, but they have some pretty good ideas. There is no such thing as a quick fix and I've never had free lunch!
