Posts: 24 Milwaukee, WI | Twenty-five years ago I rented Hobie 16's (all of which had been de-powered and were in pretty rough shape) at what was then the last rental place in Annapolis. At that time (do a quick calculation for today's prices) the rental was between $75-100 per day.
After renting twice, I just went out and bought my own 16': $1,500.
Stongly recommend the Galesville route. You not only will get to go sailing, you may make some friends for life.
Just my 2 cents.
I would rather be sailing, than reading about sailing!
