I noticed that I have a crack piece of plastic on the comp tip of my 16. When raising the main, the sail would pull out of the luff track on the comp tip, but I was able to still raise the sail by putting the boat on it's side and raising the main that way.

I would think some type of repair on this would be possible, but what type of glue should I use? Super glue? Epoxy?

The crack is about 1.5 inches long.

Thanks for any help!

The tracks are removable / replaceable. You might try reversing the track (top to bottom). The track on a 16 is a bit difficult to get off the mast, so perhaps replacement would be easier as you may damage the track further removing it.

Replacement instructions:

The track for the 16 is a different profile than shown, but the process is the same. Because of the 16's different shape, it is a bit harder to remove.

Replacement track is # 20616001
