I'll be driving all the way from Colorado.

Looking forward to seeing all my friends from the "Left Coast" <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Hoping we have a decent showing of Hobie 18's.

Stephen

I'm there on a 17.

Bauldry's on the same plane coming from Detroit. He'll be on a 17, too.

$25 for a checked bag... what's the fee for a whole cat? <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

We have the special "inflatable Hobie 17" that was just introduced. Fits into a carryon bag. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Naaah. We're borrowing boats.

I was thinking about bringing my own sail, like I did when I went to the 17 NAs in San Francisco (I told the lady at the counter, "It's just like a pair of skis") - but they hit you $100 EACH WAY for an oversized 2nd bag like that.

Friggin' Northwest. They've got us by the shorts here in Detroit. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Coming out of retirement after... what? Seems like over 10-20 years since I raced a 16. I will be on a factory Hobie 16.

Other "Retro" Hobie 16 skippers from the factory:

Doug Skidmore
Ruth Triglia
Hugh Greenwald
Greg Thomas
Jacques Bernier
Greg Ketterman

you guys laugh about bringing your boats with you. The Moth dudes can check their boat as "oversized baggage"

Matt, is there an official entry list out there somewhere? I heard there are around 40 16s registered... really?

It's too bad that California is so far from Punta Gorda. I would love to combine my celebration of owning a Hobie 16 for 30 years while saluting Hobie's 40th.

Matt and John on the same flight......... going to a Hobie Regatta......... has anyone warned the flight attendants?

If they try and dump you off in Denver, give Judy a call <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> she knows the sheriff.

Copied from another Forum, information courtesy of Rick Buchanan.

60 boats so far...Wow!
14 (4),
16A (29),
16B (9),
17 (4),
18 (6),
20 (6)
Tiger (1)
And as soon as Dick Blount makes up his mind which boat he's bringing I can add him to the right class. Some of this tally will change once we start checking everyone in, as some entries didn't have a class or boat size listed. Ron Wagniere..I have you on an 18 due to the note on your entry form.

How much, how many? My last Hobie watch went to the bottom of Santa Rosa Sound - lesson learned.
