I was thinking about bringing my own sail, like I did when I went to the 17 NAs in San Francisco (I told the lady at the counter, "It's just like a pair of skis") - but they hit you $100 EACH WAY for an oversized 2nd bag like that.

Coming out of retirement after... what? Seems like over 10-20 years since I raced a 16. I will be on a factory Hobie 16.

Matt, is there an official entry list out there somewhere? I heard there are around 40 16s registered... really?

I have not seen a list, but hear 40 plus H16s are registered now already.

It's too bad that California is so far from Punta Gorda. I would love to combine my celebration of owning a Hobie 16 for 30 years while saluting Hobie's 40th.

How much, how many? My last Hobie watch went to the bottom of Santa Rosa Sound - lesson learned.
