More details on the trailing session: 9-12: inside seminar in main building 1pm: 2 or 3 practice races (very short ones) after that back to the main clubhouse for debriefing for an hour or so.
The practice races won't start until 1500 (3 pm). The PRO (me) won't be there in time to get things organized much sooner.
Draft SIs are attached to this post.

Hobie, NACRA and Capricorn sails are assumed to be F18 class legal.
There are only 3 brands of boats at this event.
That is not correct. All boats and sails regardless of who built them technically require certification. The inhouse certification is still a work in progress. The NAF18 Class and I assume the Canadian F18 class have been very lenient on this issue and have not required measurement certs at our regattas. The NAF18 fleet has a prescription to cover this but unfortunately only AHPC sent us an agreement, so we (NAF18) really haven't addressed the issue fully.
We really need to tighten things up as a fleet but resistance is significant.
It's also important to note that the NAF18 prescriptions only apply to the US F18 fleet.

Were all sails measured and boats weighed at the North Americans at ABYC?
I know for a fact that EYC doesn't have the facility to measure sails unless they clear out the entire upper floor of the clubhouse. Even that may not be big enough.

All boats are weighed at every nationals, that's something we have been very diligent about. Sails are placed against a template only. I haven't been to a Nationals for a few years so sail verification may need clarification. Yes, I do feel shame about that.
