Posts: 2,490 On the Water | Kris, I used the tubular webbing over the bolt rope. I got them from Skip Elliot, who can also supply the bolt rope. I went to them and really like them a lot more than the rod system.

Posts: 99 Chicago, IL | From what I saw and read “rod” system will distribute weight equally and will not pull bolt rope from the trampoline track – seen that happen with tubular webbing loops.
I know I could get everything from EP but I want to make it myself. I’m having hard time finding right bolt rope shown in the picture. In the worst case I will reuse boltrope that I pulled form trampoline.

Posts: 1,304 Gulf Coast relocated from Cali... | The trampoline boltrope was usually the problem in the first place. I used sail slugs. I haven't had any problems yet in 4 years with them pulling out. I bought a trampoline from a guy in Fl a few years ago to have a spare and loaned it to someone. It pulled out of the track the first day they used it. I've since had it cut and added loops for the side lacing.

Posts: 99 Chicago, IL | I’m not going to use slugs. They have small surface area where they touch trampoline track therefore it is high probability for one to come out leaving nasty opening in the track. If track was aluminum then it is different ball game.
I still need “hint” where to get bolt rope what size and what kind. The one on the picture looks like it is braided rope (no core). There are plenty of websites that sale tubular webbing and I will go with nylon. The fiber glass stick can be purchased form McMaster.
So I’m only missing bolt rope – help appreciated.

I think our boats were the same year too. Mine is an 01 and I had Tony Morrelli do my first tramp and he gave me the slugs that I use today. I get that thing tighter than a snare drum and havent had any issues with it.

Posts: 829 Charleston, SC | You guys, just like Tad, need to quit screwing around with the broken system. Tilt the hull, fill the track, and add the screws/bolts just like the newer boats have. Use the center of the updated tramp and voila!......you've got the newest version that won't break.
Survey says........?

Posts: 1,304 Gulf Coast relocated from Cali... | How much weight is added filling the crack? I haven't had any troubles with mine whatsoever, so I'm not changing it till I do. I wondered about adding the screw/buttons. Good to know someone actually has done it. Any pictures?

Posts: 829 Charleston, SC | To my knowledge, nobody has done it yet. There's no reason it won't work. Just use some epoxy thickened with micro balloons and then add the screws in like the new boats have.
The weight added will be negligible. 5 lbs doesn't matter on a N20.
