Posts: 531 Lake Murray SC | OK, I was working on the old man with "Aww, it's not THAT cold!" but I will desist. I wanted to try out the endpole snuffer since the last sail with the spin was successful and mucho fun.

Posts: 1,253 Columbia South Carolina, USA | It turned out to be a beautiful day, high around 49, 5-10mph winds, the sun poked through about half way thru the racing, and my son skippered to a second place finish overall in the junior fleet. His crew was a little unskilled on the JY15, but we had a great time. Hopefully he will let me crew on his cat one day!

BTW- that funny little sail you were pulling on is called a jib. Hint- if you close the slot between the jib main, you go slow...

Posts: 1,253 Columbia South Carolina, USA | The jib was trimmed excellently...however we started out casually raxcing so I wasnt raising the centerboard downwind. The we decided we were sailing well and we should try a little harder, so I raised the centerboard and when we got to the leeward amrk and rounded...well that boat doesn't go upwind too well without that board. Duuuuuh!
