Does anyone have a diagram on how to rig one of these?

I got one with my H14T but have never used one or seen one rigged.

Thanks,

It makes a hinge mounting at the base of the mast for stepping the mast. Check with a dealer or someone who has a H16, the H16 manual shows how to use it but the H14 manual does not.
Remove it as soon as the mast is stepped & stayed, if left in place it will try to prevent the mast from roatating & something will break.

Thanks for your tip on the H16 manual but looking at the downloadable .pdf version of this it really doesn't show much.

Maybe the actual manual has it though?

Hey Crashed,

A question on your post... Do you mean that once the mast is stepped and stayed, that one should remove the pin at the base of the mast step?

Yes. and probably a good idea to remove the link parts too. The mast has to be free to swivel in its base and you don't want to lose any loose pieces. When I got my boat (H14), the lug that the pin goes through was broken right off the mast base casting, presumably from leaving the link connected. I made a new 'lug' piece which I clamped to the mast using the sail slot but it could be a very difficult repair for someone who is not an amateur machinist.

There is a diagram showing how it connects.
