Anyone know what the front beam inside bolt is screwed into? Plate or nut. I'm guessing plate.

Pretty sure it goes to a long bar under the hull deck lip on the inner lip of the hull but I can't be certain without a a visual inspection.

That is correct. Solid piece of stainless steel bar that is drilled and threaded.

He asked about the inside bolt, which is through bolted with a nylon locking nut and washer on the inside of the hull. You have to go through the inspection port to access. You will need a fairly long wrench to reach the nut. There is probably reinforcement glassed in the area.

Thanks, I couldn't see in there because there is a home made cooler in each hull that blocks view/access.

There should be a hole on the inside of each hull.... right under the beam that has a plug in it. Take the plug out and that will give you access to the nut.

And don't lose that plug, they aren't being made anymore as are a lot of Prindle parts...

They are still in the rear for the rear crossbar, but not in the area of the front cross bar unless the boat is from the mid 70's

That's only on the rear beam not the front. Also Murrays has plastic caps to fill the holes of you lose the plugs but they are a very tight fit and might need some sanding around the holes to get them in. Also the plug is not there to keep water from filling your hulls. The small section the hole goes into is only access for the recessed screw in the rear beam track. it can only hold about a cup or so of water so even without the plugs it is not big deal.

Which inside bolt on the front. I thought there is only one on each side of each hull and each one goes to SS threaded bar under the deck lip.
