No, no planning on bringing the Cats. Figured it would be a nightmare.

There is a live webcam showing the crane where the AC45s will be launched from.
I am not sure there will be any live coverage today actually.
It could be that it starts o Wednesday but am not 100% sure.

Going down tomorrow (Sunday). Check out the Village watch the races then back home buy the evening. We will start pretty early to get down there from Long Beach.

Old news for those who haven't been following but Darren Bundock to skipper/replace Coutts for Team Oracle.

I guess the "Americas" Cup has to be at a foreign venue to get full coverage.

Is this a 'permanant' change or just for this event?

And did they race yesterday? Weather Channel was showing a lot of rain in So.Cal. yesterday.

Technically I stated it wrong, Bundock is helmsman, not skipper, for whatever that's worth.

I was at the event on Sunday. Great day for watching! We were camped out right on the pier next to the USS Midway. There are two fingers you can go to the end of without a pass. The middle one you cannot. That is where most of the teams are. We were right next to actually looking over the leeward mark, then the finish line. That is the best place to watch unless you buy a pass to be on the Midway, which would be a great seat but no closer to the action.

Dan
