I am making some new trapeze "wires" from Dyneema. I have spliced a thimble into one end without any problem. Now I want to splice a thimble into the other end. But to splice Dyneema, you need to pass both the short end and the long end through the cord. I can't pass the long end through, as it has a thimble in it, not to mention the trapeze handle. So how is this done?

Thanks.

I see now. Put the short end through first, then instead of putting the long end through, put the loop through instead. Finally take the twist out by pulling the short end under itself.

Many thanks to air_apparent.
